The old witch must to be on fire!

The sparks fire is a gentile tradition from the Alemanni. It's a ceremony for the turnout of the strong and cold winter. On the first Sunday after Ash Wednesday, the „Sparks-Witch“ is burned in the fire as a winter symbol.
