Our holiday home is located in a quiet resident's zone and the perfect place
for your family vacation in Europe. Spending your holidays with us, you will
spend the best time of the year – vacation – nearby the mountain
where King
Ludwig II has built the world famous fairy-tale castle
Neuschwanstein.
If you like, you spend holidays at the Allgäu and enjoy the countryside
that already has fascinated even kings before.
„Vitales Land“
In Southern Germany where tradition is held up even in modern times, all the
amenities of a region whose infrastructure is dedicated to tourism, are at
your disposal. Bike tracks as well as excursion paths and cross country or
downhill ski slopes all in front of your door! The ascend to the castle
Neuschwanstein starts at the nearby romantic Pöllat canyon only 5
minutes away from home. At celebrations in Schwangau you will meet people in
traditional fancy costumes, a highlight will be the ceremony of St. Coloman
at the nearby St. Coloman church. People interested in culture, sports and
recreation will be delighted from the
"Vitales
Land", to which
Füssen and
Schwangau have joined
recently.
Holidays with children
For children there is always activity. Playing grounds,
natural education
paths, Alpamare
swimming hall at Bad Tölz or
Legoland park at
Günzburg will magically attract. In summer the crystal clear Alpsee
invites to a refreshing swim, from there is a beautiful sight to
Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein Castles. There are 13 lakes around
Schwangau and Füssen. After a hard day of adventures or exercise you may
relax and recuperate at the
"Königliche
Kristall Therme" in Schwangau. During winter time children enjoy the
snow at downhill races from the Falken- or Adlerlift or they just watch or
compete in sports with other kids.
Tegelberg – our house mountain
Sportive holiday guests as well as families with children from all ages will
learn from Tegelberg and Ammergau Alps as places for skiing, hiking,
delta-gliding or paragliding. At the bottom station of the
Tegelbergbahn
there is a luge in summer
which inspires everybody with enthusiasm at every new ride. There is also a
playground for children. From the Tegelberg you have a gorgeous view over the
surroundings and the peaks of the Allgäu and Tyrolean mountains. Also
elder guests can enjoy these views when they ride the gondola of the
Tegelbergbahn to the top.
During winter time, all slopes are well prepared with snow (even with
artificial snow, if necessary), both for cross country and downhill skiing
and can be used even in the evening up to 9:00 p. m. Beginners and
experts will find ideal slopes for skiing and snowboarding. A great
attraction will be the illuminated castles by night.
